I have never had a day as busy as this one. I had 13 shows today! Of course 12 were in the same location (a school), but they were 20 minute shows on the half hour. Long story as to why, but it made for a very tiring day. Kind of let me know how the guys felt a hundred years ago working dime museums. The thirteenth was a one hour corporate show tonight. Glad to be home...

Every now and then you'll have a wonderful day like this.
Take it from me, when you're old and can't work like that anymore, you'll remember such days fondly. I remember one Christmas season in the 1970s when I was also DJ-ing - a couple weeks of get up, work, keep working, work some more, try to get a few hours of sleep and then get up and do it again. Yup, I was young once, I THINK I remember... |

Reminds me of my old school show days, rush around play two or three schools in a day, then a club at night, but 13 in one day! Man, that is a lot, more gigs than most magicians get in a month. They ought to call you Iron Man.
"Now here's the man with the 25 cent hands, that two bit magician..."

Okay, this is turning into bragging.
I hate you all - I'm going to go sulk now. (Walks off in an envious snit). |

Not to make light of what must have benn a very dificult experience, but for those of us who are actually teachers, consider a standard day...
Almost all day standing up. Almost all day talking. Frequent resets of materials. I feel your pain brother

Yeah, it should be mentioned that there were a couple teachers who were there with me the entire time. We endured a non-air conditioned gym together. I had 2 more school shows yesterday and a 4 hour strolling gig in a hospitality pavillion at Brooks & Dunn's concert last night (very, very hot and humid). I have spent so much time on my feet on hard surfaces that even my socks are giving me wedgies. Off today and getting ready to go make some sawdust in the shop.
