I'm stepping into the world of children's entertainment and I'm wondering what do I need to do for insurance or even if it is required for doing magic and/or balloons at children's parties.

Thanks in advance,

You should always carry insurence, it is the most important thing you can have if you are doing shows. This is the best place I have found, they cover everything a magician doed including fire. http://clownsoftheus.com/ they are very nice and the price is great for what you get. And they don't charge extra for additionally insured certificates.

Required? nope. Smart? Yep. Just do it. The above mentioned policy will be the best $165 about, that you EVER spend trust me.

Insurence is required at some venues. If you work in the fair, casino, hotel, & cruise ship market you are required to carry your own liability. It is not always required by certain venues but if you plan on doing a lot of shows in the future you should look into getting it.
