Jade, I would like to know if you can give us an idea how long it took you to obtain the level of proficiency you have attained? Can we assume you practiced for literally hours a day every day for years?
Did it seem to come naturally for you, or was it a struggle all the way?
The difficult must become easy, the easy beautiful and the beautiful magical.

Everyone needs stage time to perfect their art. I spent a couple of years working the Magic Castle, working 7 days a week, 21 shows a week. Some years I worked 4 times within the year. Each show gave me the opportunity to tweak the show just that little bit.
I also had some great people helping me out along the way. Max Maven, Peter Pit, Brian Lee (stage manager of the Castle), Pete Biro, Amos Levkovitch, Chris Rayman (often found working in Branson), Lisa Menna, John Carney, James Hamilton, Mike Caveney, James Dimmare, and a list that goes on forever. Everyone had their opinions, of course. I still had to be selective of the advice given to me because at the end, I am still responsible for the finished product that I present. So needless to say, even with these tremendously talented people on my side, it still was a lot of hard work. But I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Jade |
