Boy I'm totally in the dark here boys. What the heck is Soylent Green and how is it made out of people?

Find the movie. It was aired on tv in the USA in the 70's. I was about 14 when I saw it. There may be copies of it available somewhere for purchase.
It was a model of the world in the future, with mankind propagated to its utter limits without any natural predators, describing the consequences of same. I won't say more.
Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy; The way into my parlour is up a winding stair, And I've a many curious things to show when you are there. Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain, For who goes up your winding stair -can ne'er come down again. |

Cajole? I love that word!
This topic really hits home with me. My personal perspective regarding the impact I've felt because I've learned a secret is hard to describe. I can only thank Jonathan for giving the most excellent example of Soylent Green. I can't go into greater detail because then it would be hard to find empathy. Please find the movie or the screenplay (or the book?) and enjoy.
