I do a haunted house every year for halloween and I would like to have a cloak for it. Does anyone know any ideas or patterns to make a cloak? Thanks. -Cory.

Try http://www.sewingpatterns.com and type "cloak" in the search box. There are several.

Well, there are several kinds of cloaks, if you want the big Kinsale gothic style, then use a commercial pattern, or have someone do it for you if you are not too into sewing.
Otherwise, take a large blanket in the color you like, fold it in half, one end of the fold is where you head/neck will go, a slight semi circle will give a nice drape, just a little dut out- right in that upper corner (travel about 2-3 inches in along the fold, and about the same distance out along the edges not part of the fold, connect the dots with an arc, and trim this away, Go to the bottom edge of the fold ( this will be the center back) and travel to the remaining corner along the bottom edge, move upwards along this non fold side about 2 feet, and draw a gentle arc down to the folded corner on the bottom, this gives a rounded front edge and keeps you from tripping on the corners, though a square of fabric was just fine for Charlemagne! Trim off that corner rounding bit, hem it up if you need to, iron on hem binding works nicely, and can be had in pretty colors! Try it on, adjust the neck hole area if needed, and add a nice clasp or a strip of fabric and pins across the front to hold it on. Kay
