Contact any major magic dealer. Many have periodic mailing lists. Diamonds Magic in New England sends one out frequently. Just do a search on his shop. Also, Hank Lee's Magic Factory sends out periodic mailings. Hope this helps...

The link to Hank Lee's catalog works for me.
Maybe the site was down when you tried. Give it another try. Mike |

Small Cheeto,
Your not going to get the catalog for FREE. Depending on the shop they will cost you $5.00 to $10.00. Steven's Magic Emporium also has a catalog. |

Catalogs are very costly to print and the larger ones such as Hank Lee, Abbotts, Tannens and Magic Inc. are equally costly to mail. I started getting catalogs back when I was a pre-teen and even then you had to send fifty cents (the money not the rapper) to get them. You want free you will have to settle for on-line catalogs and if you want a hard copy print them out yourself. A trip to the store for additional ink and paper and you'll soon see why catalogs are not free.

Monthly news and product catalog is releaced by Brad Bert for his magic shop, his site is magicshop.com check it out. Penguinmagic.com has sent me mini catalogs with new products as well. But as posted above any Adams (Fun Inc.) catalogs will cost you, because it costs them.

Steven's magic also has a catalog ($7.50 domestic/$15 int'l).
See - http://www.stevensmagic.com/catalog.htm . Personally, I don't like printed catalogs. Can't search them. I prefer web sites for that reason. (Printed catalogs ARE nice to curl up with by the fire, however; can't do that with a web site.) If you restrict yourself to shops that print catalogs, you'll miss out on some. Daytona Magic and ELMS for example don't have printed catalogs of which I'm aware. Denny & Lee Magic Studio has a catalog you can download, but I don't know if they mail it out. If you share WHY you want a PRINTED catalog, you may get other helpful advice.
Regards,

The major dealers have huge tomes that they usually print every year or so. They cost $. Join Hank Lee's list and Tannen's list and Diamond's list other dealers' lists. They won't send you a free catalog, but you will get mailings of the "latest" stuff.
Denny and Lee, Hank Lee, Tannen, etc. have all their items listed on the net so a printed catalog really isn't needed anymore. Unless, of course, you want to circle a few items for someone to buy you as gifts
You have to give it away to keep it.

I prefer catalogs to websites. It is probably because I am older and prefer the old ways. I just feel there should be places and times where higgh tech can't follow. That is why my cell phone is usually off and in the car. With a catalog I can look page by page through a catalog and each time I do that, and I've done that repeatedly, I will invariably find some "new" thing I had not noticed before, and buy it. With a web site I kind of have to already know what it is I want.
Websites are for power shoppers and catalogs are for those just looking around. As far as curling up by the fireplace, I don't have one - but if I did I'd probably be burning my last two computers that no longer function. Frank Tougas

I prefer catalogs as well. I used to look forward to getting a catalog or flyer from Al's, John Kennedy, Sterling, etc. Collectors Workshop used to put out a very nice catalog. I'm not sure if they still do or not. The past few times I've ordered from there, all I received was my order and the receipt. I agree with you Frank, nothing like flipping through a catalog. You can use my fireplace to torch your pc's if you'd like.

It is a matter of individual taste and preference. I prefer the printed ones for my convenience.

I used to love getting and browsing through catalogs.(I think that if you buy from Stevens, they will send you catalogs.) I also enjoy reading the ads in the magic magazines.
But now I find that I really enjoy finding things on the web. Peace, Parson
