I saw david blaine perform this on I believe TRL on MTV. He took a accupuncture needle and pushed it thru the bottom of his hand and it went all the way thru his hand. I was wondering if any of you guys know what this trick would be called or where I could find it. THank you all for your time

I am not sure when the TRL show aired but I'm guessing a few years back, because I saw him do this on the Jonathon Ross show after his vertigo special aired, I believe he also did this on an American talk show about the same time.

Do you know of any URLs that might have a clip of this? I don't think that I have seen this effect before and I am curious to see the realism of it.

I don't know where any clips of it are on the internet, I just happened to recently watch a re-run of the jonathon ross show that he was on, and regarding realism it looked very clean, it literally went thru the back of his hand to the front, you saw it pierce the skin and then jonathon ross got to pull it out, this wasnt a r***** c***** job, infact I was sure it was not a trick and just exatcly what it seemed, until I read another thread regarding the effect and stating it was called "acupuncture" or something like that, but it was no longer available. Ill try and find the other thread...
...just found this maybe it is real http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=23 |

Hmmmmm....I'm not all that sure that I would really like to push a hunk of metal through my hand just to get a reaction. For that, I would just do needle-through-arm or something of the like. I don't find things like that to be magical, they are just done for shock value.
