I didn't know where to post this but it's kind of funny so I put it here. It's a pretty neat use for black art.

I saw the ping pong clip too. Looking through the different clips I've also found some card trick people have sent in.

I didn't watch the clip, because I am in a hotel with dial-up, but it says Karate, and you are talking about black art... Amazing Johnathan is now doing a Karate Black art routine... very funny. I wonder if it's similar. What is the clip you put the link for?

Eric,

It's a Japanese performer who does several breaking of boards and concrete blocks, but he also splits his helpers in half when he does his karate moves.

Again, very clever act, but completely ruined in this clip by some really bad lighting.

I don't think it is ruined by the lighting because they are not magicians. 2nd its a Comedy performace peice they are not there to fool the audience. But yes every magician in Japan is mostly cringing on the poor lighting.
cheers chris

Also, in chinese culture, it is assumed that the audience is familiar with black art. It is a commonly used idea there, from what I understand.

That's ok... but they are JAPANESE!

Anyway, I think it would be even funnier if the light was better...
