Does anyone have experience in making, using, or obtaining invisible fluorescent paint/makeup? The paint must be invisible so as not to be seen on my skin until it is illuminated, momentarily, with UV light. The purpose is to create an effect similar to that of George Kirkendall's Philosophers Stone illusion as mentioned in Eugene Burger's Strange Ceremonies. I've been experimenting with various ideas including mini Pepper's Ghost illusions to Black Art methodologies with limited success.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Scott |

I use this effect for the end of my seance show. There is a cheap hairspray available that goes on clear and glows white under blacklight. I don't have it in front of me, but this is the stuff:

Just about anything with laundry whitener/brightener in it will do - because it's UV reactive - which is how it makes your clothes look whiter in sunlight.
Or get whitener by itself. RIT brand is probably the most well known.
Just hanging out with the rest of my fellow dregs.

This is what we use in the haunt. It is invisible until hit with a blacklight (you will have to scroll down to find the makeup, other cool products here too).http://www.theatrefx.com/store/commerce.cgi?product=invisible_uv_products
It looks pretty cool, but I am not sure that it will give the effect that you are looking for. The picture in Strange Ceremonies is simply amazing. We have never had results even begining to approach that. Dave |
