In a post recently with IVFOUR the subject of audience size came up, he had performed in front of quite a few, myself, well I performed in front of 3 people so far, my 5 year old gave a standing ovation, my 14 year old told me to "sit down dad you are so embaressing" and my wife looked around me as I was disturbing her veiwing of 'Coronation Street' on TV.... Perhaps not the best example but the dog did wag his tail once before falling asleep again!.......... So time to brag now,
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST AUDIENCE. HOW MANY?WHERE?WHY?AMATURE OR PRO?
Far 2 fat and far 2 furious!!!!

This is not the biggest audience but the show I enjoyed most. last year for the year of the monkey festival I went to Taichung in Taiwan to perform. I planned to perform a manipulation act with cards, Jumbo coins, CDs and doves for about 15 minutes all to music. The music I chose was pretty hard rock because it was a young crowd and our act was to be followed by a fireworks display (which was awesome). We were 3 magicians each doing 15 minutes with intervals and 2 other acts inbetween. When I got to the stage I was stunned. It was like a rock stage. Huge, excellent sound system great lights with technicians. The stage was actually set up for a rock band. The first song (or clip I use goldwave to ensure that my music is only one trach that way the sound guys don't have to worry about it and there are no silent periods) was ACDC Thunderstruck and with that sound and the lights and the cheer from the crowd who were watching magicians and then fireworks and then a rock band...that cheer and the sound was awesome.
I would not call it my best show but the one I enjoyed most. The amount of people that actually watched the show (which was outdoors) was about 300 the rest of them were hanging around the fireworks display. I may be underestimating the number because the stage was so huge that it is difficult to guess but I would pay money to have that kind of feeling again. |

Anywhere from 20 to 600 on up at shows. I book theatres; so mostly they fit a lot of people. I also tour with the USO- so there shows for troops heck bring in a nice audience. 500+ all depends on when and where. When I first started long ago I used to do shows for 'adoring' family members out on my grandmothers porch. Five people at most. How times change though:)
