Just to change the subject a little, I don't think I reccommended Alan Wong's "stargazer" a trick for about $16 that will be as popular as your balloons for a giveaway. I suggest you buy it from Alan himself, because there are so many knock off's AWONG@altera.com, I also suggest you buy some extra rubber bands from him, because kids just love the star shaped rubber bands. I do a routine that ends with stargazer, but first learn the trick.

Al, funny you mention Stargazer. I bought it when it first came out, back in the time when I was 'addicted' to MagicTalk, a forum I don't visit anymore. I emailed Alan way back then, and ordered from him. I actually just found the package a few days ago, when looking for something else. Mind you, I will have to order some new bands from him. A great little routine for sure. I tried to learn it when I first got it, but didn't really understand the moves. Now I can watch it demo'd on Youtube.

Ah, disappointment, just visited both youtube and magicvideodepot, and Stargazer is no longer there. At least I couldn't find it. Oh well, I'm sure at this point, I will be able to understand the directions, hopefully. Oh, and thanks Al for Alan's email. I will contact him. We haven't chatted in years.

Not long ago Joe Rindfleisch was going to do a demo of his version of ring, and rubber band routine. I first got interested in this routine when he did it for me in his living room. I wonder if Joe is reading this post?

Speaking of Joe, Al, I just received the DVD's on Friday, so have been watching Joe and Dan all weekend. I have my work cut out for me. Some great stuff on these DVD's. I think I may order Dan's new set since I can't find my old video's that he put out several years ago. I originally bought Vol. 2 & 3 of the 3 video set, but they are MIA. I ordered Joe and Dan's DVD's from Madhatter Magic. Got GREAT service and pricing, and fast shipping. I'll be going back there again.

So, Joe's Ring and Band from Elastrix is only in his book I guess. I will have to look into that. I think my dealer carries it. Best of luck at the Close Up Competition Al. Everyone will be in for a treat.

Is the first Elastrix book any good Al? He has it for 8.00.

But, perhaps before paying 18.00, I will check out ebay, and MagicAuction.

The first elastrix book doesn't have anything in it you can use.

Was just chatting by email with Bill from MadHatter Magic and he has a copy lying around he is going to sell me. I believe he said it was their last copy, so I better grab it up. I had looked through the other Elastrix book quite awhile ago at my dealers, but it didn't grab me at all.

Ah, so now a waiting game. Don't ya just hate that. But, glad to hear it went well. I'm still hunting for Joe's book. Turns out MadHatter had the other volume. However, I am having fun right now working through and learning some of the things from Bandshark. I won't probably learn everything, but just about. Then I will tackle Joe's DVD. This is a LOT of fun.
