You can find it available at lots of places if you do a google search for healed and sealed. I bought mine directly from Anders Moden. It was $12 and he sent the file. I've seen it other places as a book for a little cheaper, but the immediacy from Moden was nice.
As far as the trick goes, I really like it. It is not hard to do and I was able to do it 10 minutes after reading the text. The can is completely examinable. I've scrutinized the cans to determine how it was done. Very impressive trick. |

Healed and Sealed has its pros and cons just like any other effect out there. I personally don't like it, although I have performed it from time to time and got great reactions, it just doesn't suit my taste so I don't perform it. Although I did perform it at a party I had at my house. Everyone was sloshed out of their minds, so that can make the effect a lot more fun to do. But if you are asking if it is worth the price. I would say.....YES. It is quite a nice piece of magic. Just my 2 cents. Spend it wisely.

What can you say about healed and sealed.
If you were able to rverse time, it would look EXACTLY like this. If you were to use magic to refill and seal a can of pop, it would look EXACTLY like this. This effect is so unbelievably straight forward and visual. There are many effects that people decribe as looking exactly like it would look if you really could do it with magic (which, with the exception of the need to add mystery, is how you should aim for all of your magic to look) but I have never seen one that desered it as much as this. I love this effect, and did I mention, it is SO easy to learn set up and do. You can actually set the entire effect up right infront of them (with some creative thinking) and they will have no idea. what could be more inoccent then drinking a can of pop at a party. Or even in your show as needed refrshment to prevent your mout from drying out. I will admit that you must decide if this is your style of effect as it is the ONLY thing that would/should keep you from using it. I don't perform this very often as I don't do much often out side of cards and coins. But this would be worth it if I had only ever did it once. Period. Glenn

I have heard about another trick called Crushed and Cured Cola. How does this compare to Healed and Sealed??
Any differences?

Hi, I tried the method described on Crushed and Cured when I first devised Healed and Sealed some 9 years ago. When you come up with this idea it's almost impossible not to try it, it lies within the human nature - I think - to do it this way at first. It is a very impractical method.
First of all it is a long setup time, they don't give any indication on the DVD exactly how long, but if you turn down the volume and look at the movie you can see that it didn't work very well even when they shot the DVD. Maybe they didn't have time to wait? Second, transportation is a real problem, well you understand if you got it. I even advice against this method in the manuscript. Yes, I'm a bit sad that this version has come out. But as they call it an improved method, I think I have a right to speak my mind. So I am making my own DVD right now to try to correct this. It has taken much longer than I expected, but I am working on it. In the mean time, take a look at Tim Ellis DVD "24 years of living next door to Ellis" where you can see a great performance of this, woven into a working context. Anders |
