Mr. Burger,

How do you feel about the current trend in magic which demonstrates effects that are very quick to perform and mostly visual?

Can most of these little quickies have any meaning?

Does the purely quick and visual nature of these effects enhance or hurt a magical performance?

I enjoy quick and flashy magic and, since I think a good show has texture, I feel fast, flashy magic can provide that texture -- especially in a show, like mine, that has longer story pieces in it. To do a show that consisted entirely of fast, flashy magic would not work for me (but it might work for you!) because of my goal that my show have different kinds of effects.
