Hi,
I'm working on "Between Your Points Of Departure" from Earl Nelson's Variations. I'm having trouble with the initial set up of the reverse fan of the aces and loading the face up card. Does anyone have any alternate handlings, or advice on the Nelson routine method? Thank you, Michael |

Hello Michael,
I was having the same problem with this, so almost 2 years ago when Earl Nelson was the House Magician at the Magic Castle, I asked him. Earl replied, don't worry too much about it, just go ahead and set up the cards without making a big deal about it. We sure miss Earl at the Magic Castle...he is one of the greatest magicians that we can't see on a regular basis here in Hollywood. Roger Quote:

I perform this regularly and that's exactly right. just do it.
When you do the display, do not just hold the deck with one hand. to me that looks suspiscious. just set them up and hold them casually, perhaps, with a bit of momement.

Why is Earl not around the Castle anymore? I hope that he is still with us. We can't afford to lose any more thoughtful gentlemen. Best regards, Glenn Godsey |

I just saw him a little while ago, and he is doing great.
I believe he is refering that Earl moved away from hollywood to another state(i forget where but I think northwest).... therefore he isn't around all the time. Please correct me if I'm wrong though... |
