I was wondering if any of you more experienced folks can comment on his works?

Thanks!

There are two groups of people that violate basic principles in any endeavor: idiots and experts. I tend to play poker with most of the idiots!

Yep - CapCuts is very samey, he doesn't appear to offer much variety in his cuts.
Most are variations on a theme.

Plus as a person I find him slightly creepy - in CapCuts he looked like he just got back from an interview at a bank and didn't have time to change.

Thanks for the comments! I had seen small parts of a couple of different DVDs. Being a newbie I was wondering what other more experience folks might have to say about it.

What DVDs do you like on this topic?

Thanks!

C:4 Capcuts was one of my first videos. It's not that bad. It's very easy to learn from, but a lot of people say there isn't enough variety. If you only are planning to buy one DVD, don't get that one, but it's not a bad starting point.

Totally agree

IMHO XB is a better starting point.

Though not new to magic, I am just getting into XCM.
I bought XBZ, and think it is great. There is a wealth of stuff someone at my level can learn from this DVD. I think the teaching methods/camera angles/explanations are all great.

I already knew the one handed shuffle and hotshot cut before buying it, but it even helped me improve on both of those, as it teaches them in detail as well.

In fairness though, I must say I have never owned any other manipulation vids to compare it to.

Hope this helps,
