The Handcuff Annual 2006 is now available. This is a project that I have been working on for the last nine months or so. It is collective work presented by a international group of performers, craftsmen, collectors and archivists. Most of them are regular participants on this forum and/or my forum at Handcuffs.Org. Contributions have come from Australia, Canada, England, Germany, Sweden and the USA.

The book has 150 pages including 50 pages of color. We have articles on Houdini and other escape artists of the past, profiles of current performers, technical and collector's articles on handcuffs and restraints, and reports of visits to various museum and related places.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all the contributors. It has been wonderful working with all of you.

As you read your copy, start thinking about what you can contribute to the Handcuff Annual 2007.

The book is available from Cannon's Great Escapes

Thanks very much for including myself in your historic work! It's also quite entertaining to be included in the Annual with a mentor (Santini) who has shared some invaluable advice. By the way, Congrats to Santini on his new title by Ripley's as the Most Extreme Escape Artist and inclusion in their publication "Planet Eccentric".
Counting the days until the Handcuff Annual hits my Post Office Box Smile

K and K,
I could not agree with you more!
I finally received my copy and your article was among the first that I read. I like the mysterious picture of Kristen peering eerily out of the diamond plate box escape. Very cool.
Deans article was good reading too.
While the annual discusses handcuff history mainly, there is enough stuff in there to make it worth your while to get a copy.
I too can't wait to have some alone time to read it all.

Again, GREAT JOB JOE! I can hardly wait to have a shelf full of these. Great idea,
and well done. Lets all start working on next years articles. Nice to see all the
fine, rare restraints, and the nice variety. This is great for collectors, escape artists, and Houdini buffs!

Dylan1961-John Bushey wrote an article about Houdini VS Kleppini and the famous French Letter Handcuffs that any Houdini fan must read.
The price of the book is worth it just for this article alone.
I am still trying to find the time to read more articles from within the annual, but John's article dispels a very famous Houdini myth and remains as one of the most memorable articles that I have read so far.
