General Grant makes a brass one. I always thought if I ever need one it's the one I would purchase. Not sure were to get one? I've always seen it in Grant's booth at conventions. It's beautiful!

Cardone,
Did you receive your Gen Grant flag staff yet? Do you like it. Did you find it on a web site or by contacting Gen directly? Here's a pic of Gen in his booth at a convention. You can see a flag staff right behind them. http://www.magicbytom.com/grant.jpg Let us know what you think. Thanks! DeWayne |

I got the flag staff....WOW ! It is nice ! Very well made and solid.... It zips out and locks open. It came with a set of instructions on how to attach the flag..... I am very happy with my purchase. If you want one ...act now because I think he said he only has one more ...and that's it ..forever. The handle is stamped with a G .G. .
I bought my flag from Duane Laflin a few months ago.... not bad ... nice thick silk... .After I use it I'll post more on the subject ..believe it or not I am going to use it in an escape effect......later .... |

Because of this thread I decided the time was now to buy a flagstaff. Mostly because Cardone discovered General Garnt only had one more left! And I always knew it was the one I wanted. I must say it is a fantastic peice of workmanship.
I was so impressed with quality I asked G.G. about his "history" with flagstaffs. This is what he wrote... "I started to make Flagstaff's in 1993. The flagstaffs that you saw discontinued where my large size that held up to a six foot silk or banner. One had a plain handle and the other had a knurled for a better grip. The reason I started to make flagstaffs was a lot of the flagstaffs out there sometimes would fly apart. So I came up with the idea of cold rolling over the both ends of the stops inside each section. Plus I drilled and taped 3 safety pins in each end which gave a total of 6 safety pins in each section of the Flagstaff. Most of my where locking flagstaffs. However I had a customer special order two didn't want them to lock. " General Grant He said he would send more info once he compiled it. DeWayne |
