I think card effects using a spectators signature are particularly powerful as it mainly shows them you are not using duplicate cards...I run the deck down until it has around forty cards left. And I have never had a spectator notcie the thinner pack. What do you think about signatures?

This has been discussed at length many many times.
But for the record I kind of agree with ya/.

If they do notice that the pack is thinner, I tell you them you will see why in just a momnet.

The closest I have heard to a "complaint" about a thin deck is when someone said "no wonder the deck is missing cards". AFTER my routine. Nobody cares about it but magicians.

I love any effects with spec. signatures. It really grabs their attention as the spec. feels he/she is special. Jay Sankey stated that in real life, laypeople never thought they would sign their name on the cards as it "ruins" the deck. And the fact that you ask them to sign the card really means something to them.

A deck of cards to "people" is something that is not any good unless it is complete.
they go to great pains to make their own decks stay complete. When you do something to upset that theory, it seems to impress them on some level your right.
