Dowser,
....let us say that you are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. I really don't want to bicker with you...so, I suggest that any person who is interested simply buy the DVD and judge for themselves. It's no skin off my nose either way...I was just offering an opinion because the question was posed and I was trying to be objective. As far as Steve's Casino Protection book...yes, I do have it and I read it in a couple of days....(excellent reading) and flex work was discussed there. Which further re-enforces my arguement about reading ;-) I would love to hear from someone else in the forum who does not know how to do a riffle stack, bottom deal, second deal, etc. If they report back that they learned the correct technique, timing and subtlties to pull it off in the real world from the DVD, I will be impressed. Just because you see what a second deal or stack looks like from multple bad and/or good angles....that does not mean that you correctly learn hand, finger position, "take" action and timing, etc. etc. I will say that Sal did go into some detail on moves like a false "jog" shuffle....However, if someone wanted to really understand the jog shuffle and learn good technique with variations and stacks, they will find far more information in the "Expert at the Card table" book than was exposed on the DVD....I will admit that there were some topics which which did last longer than a minute or two.....but, generally, I stand by my opinion....and still say the the DVD was a worthwhile perchase....so, I am confused why you are bickering with me ??? PS: One final thought...if my memory serves me correctly, SAL says on the beginning of the DVD that it was not a teaching DVD to show people how to cheat at cards. The DVD was designed to expose cheating techniques so card players can protect themselves from card cheats. (I believe that was the gist of his opening remarks and reflects the material covered on the DVD)....if you need an exact quote, I guess I can reply the DVD and take notes Peace !

Well put Expert. Everyone has their opinion and I think you expressed your objectively.
I am truly blessed to have a job where people are laughing all the time and everyone believes in magic....Come to think of it, I'm blessed to even have a job.

Dowser,
By the way...I did re-read your post...I tend to agree with you when you say that Sal did demonstrate cheating methods and gimmicks which were never shown on video and DVD. I was mainly questioning the ability to LEARN good technique with short explanations on a majority of the sleights. Maybe I'm from the old school and like to find hidden material in books and lecture notes Friends ?
