I always noticed that many of the pro's (Frewin, Burton, etc.) have beautiful silks that match their costume/ equipment colors and often have long silk streamers done in custom colors... Where do these performers go to purchase their silks?

I can tell you for a fact that Lance uses P&A Silks. He might have some others here and there but for the most part that is the company that he uses. Peter White makes some of the best silks in the business. They are tough and meant to last and best of all he stickes behind his work. If a seam comes out he will fix it for free, and you just can't beat that.

Try taking your silks with you when you pick out clothes. Or when you go to the fabric store. Give them to your wife or girlfriend (not both) have them pick out your clothes. ChrisG

You might also check out the silks from Wonder Imagery which is Tim Sonefelt. I ordered an effect called Simon Star and was so impressed by these silks that I immediately ordered Gary the Goofy Ghost. I have some very nice props (Wolfs Magic) and these silks stand up to these kinds of quality props. He does custom silks or backdrops in pretty much whatever colour or image/text you want.

Don't forget our own Bob Sanders right here in the Café as well. He is a frequent contributor to this forum as well as almost all the other topics as well.
"What's your drug?" she asked. "Hope" he said, "The most addicting one of all."
