Even though I'm not sure if anyone else has done a review I thought I give it a try!
I recently bought this effect from a magicstore near me, just because I watched the video like one hundred times in a row and I couldn't figure out how it was done. To my surprise, the trick itself was not very expensive (about 30 Dollars). Here's my review: Effect (one amongst many): the magician shows 5 dice and ask the spectator to choose any number on any dice. After the spectator has chosen a number, this dice will remain outside of the box whereas the other 4 dice are put into a little plastic box which is subsequently closed. With a little shake all of the other dice (which were previously arranged in a random order) are now exactly the number the spectator has chosen. Magic Props: I think the props themselves are not the best since they are made of plastic - and honestly, I don't like it when things are made of plastic.. but anyway, the trick is great. The principle used is (in my opinion) very clever. When it comes to the magic props themselves - I love this trick! You can let the spectator examine everything before or even after the trick - it doesn't matter! So it is a very clean performance! And that is really what I like about it! Limitations: Honestly, there are very few limitations in this trick. You could have some problems if someone is standing directly behind you when you put the dice into the box and close it, but that happens rarely that someone is interested in that. And, there is some risk if you give everything to examine at once and the spectator tries it himself and that's why I always give the spectator first the box and let him examine it after the performance and then take it back and give the dice. That solves this problem:) If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM me |
