Other than Monday Night Magic, which I saw last night, does anyone know of any regular magic shows in New York City? It seems like in a city this big there would be more than one weekly magic show. I know MNM was packed last night, as it was last November when I saw the show, so I definitely think there's a market for a good quality show.

Check Abracadabra Superstores to see if they still maintain their weekend shows.

Try Rogue Magic & Funshop (718-505-0316) in Elmhurst, Queens. It's only about a 20-minute subway ride from midtown. Shows every Saturday night. It's a small store that accommodates up to about 40 people for a show. Acts can be hit or miss. But the price is also one-third of MNM.

There is a mental show call "The Mentalizer" present by Ehud Segev.
Show run at the Paradox loft 118 west 27 st. 2nd floor.
Two shows on Saturday and Sunday.
I saw the show a week ago and enjoyed it. I highly recommend it.

I'm not sure on whether it's magic in nature, but Simon Lovell has a show called Strange and Unusual Hobbies.

Check out http://www.livemagicguide.com/ . that's where I found out about Simon Lovell's show and they list three other shows in the NY area...

Also, stop in to the magic shops. I was at Fantasma recently (on 33rd across from Penn) and they had a bunch of flyers for different shows by the register
