I have been hired to do 1 hour walkaround reception and a few hours table hopping at a barmitzvah at 5:30 GMT (1 hour from posting time) and I am kinda nervous, but also looking forward to it.
I have done these before, but this is my first time I have charged as I feel I am definatly ready now. |

Good luck.
Advice: do the effects you know and love the most. check your ego at the door. and don't read any of larry davidson's posts about performing at a barmitzvah.

Please excuse the christian expression, but a barmitzva the real baptism of fire. Once they start to laugh you won't want to stop.

You are already ahead of most on here. You didn't ask advice for what you should be doing!
That puts you way ahead of the class my friend. Good luck. And stay away from Larry's posts in general. All they can be is informative and helpfull, and after all who needs that?

Glad it went well.
I did a Bar Mitzvah yesterday afternoon as well. A three hour walk around. It went well also, the kids were very well behaved and most of the adults were too. Sometimes Bar/Bat Mitzvahs are hard due to the hormonal changes of the kids. That's when you have to become 13 and talk on their level.
