If you watched the Ford Championship at Doral (golf) this weekend. You wouldn;t have been able to miss the Penn And Teller spots that ran all weekend. I saw 3 or 4 different commercials featuring P&T with Johnny Miller. The spots weren't bad. They weren't side splittingly funny or anything. But they were nice. There was a different "trick" featured in each commercial. I thought the funniest thing about them was at the end of each commercial Penn would say "log on to Ford Magic and see us reveal the secrest of our Golf Magic". I have never worried at all about P&T's exposure. But I do think it's becoming funny that thier "exposures" seem to be as important or more important than their magic itself. It's becoming too cliche in my opinion.

I live in Canada so I cannot enter I liked the putting one though heh.

I enjoyed these too. The website also has P&T's version of cups and balls using clear cups. I think this is the same routine that caused an "uproar" when they first did it years ago.
Of the ones I've seen on TV so far, I liked the putting one the best but would love to know how many times they shot it before Penn made the putt! |

Haha watch the reveals... he couldn't miss the putt!!!
its good though just to see magic being used as a legitimate art form, that magicians are able to work on a national ad campaign!!! Except for the creepy mentalist/actor guy on that chick commericial, I can't think the last time an actual magician was used to promote anything on national tv.... Good for them! |

And I'm telling you, during the Sat and Sun broadcast they were playing the hell out of em'. I think they had a P&T spot in every commercial break. Of course Ford was the major sponser of the event. What is the "chick commercial" you are talking about? I don't think I've seen that.

There is a supposed mentalist doing some sort of QA or cold reading routine, bascially he gets this wierd look and tries to tell this woman in the audience her age, but he off off like 8 years due to her using some sort of product on her face... so she says "yes" and everyone claps.
He might do like 2-3 other prediction/hypnosis/mentalist effects to before or after, but basically he is very creepy and just an actor... kinda funny though |
