Kyle,

I know how you and your wife put other's needs before anything else and serve as problem solvers so any media will find you a breath of fresh air and be lucky to have you.

I forgot to mention a couple of local celebrities, well born and very well known in Texas at least, who'd call into the station during the morning drive of any of the three stations owned by one company. They'd be local celebrities calling in on their cells, just driving into the city, asking if the Program Director had a couple of minutes to spare for a "call in" and free giveaways. I can't recall a single one being turned down! They hyped and promoted the station as much as the morning crew all the while promoting their upcoming concert or event etc.

Years ago I recorded a last minute Jim Brickman (pianist) radio interview on the day he was performing in the area. The Director was out at the time and had me take the call and conduct the short interview for playback that evening. He'd been on the air several times for a couple of days before the concert. His manager/agent really knew how to use the power of radio and when you consider what a single 60 second radio spot can cost, he got away with murder. But it served everyone including the station, listeners, and to ultimately fill more seats at opening night. All shows were sold out by the way.

Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much Randy for the kind words. My wife and I always strive to go above and beyond expectations of our clients. We also always strive to try and do things the right way and learn from every experience and every show.

As Brent suggested, we have indeed learned a LOT simply from debuting this production show last year at the 200 seta theater. We worked hard to market ourselves and the shopw through out the community and sold out the performances. We learned so much from that experience that we are carrying over into marketing of this show at this larger venue.

Since we last talked, we have added a few more things to our growing list of marketing. I would like to share some of them here to show you what we are up to and how we have taken some of your suiggestions to heart and run with them.

- We have marked April 1st as our main public appearance day over in the area of the performance. So far, simply by calling and research, we have landed 2 public appearances for that date and a 3rd one is just about to 95% there and we will get approval on that by Monday. We have landed

1) a YMCA Healthy Kid's day Festival
2) A Kid Zone Party store (sort of a Chuck-E Cheese but more local)
3) we may have also gotten in to a very large elementary school's Craft festival and open house.

All of these are in the direct vicnity of the performance location and all are eager to have us. We have flyers printed up already fior distribution and I am developing a large full scale poster to be mounted onto board and placed on an easle for these events as well. I will do some strolling style mini shows and promote the show. If anyone has any other ideas we can do while at these public appearances, please let us know as that would be a big help to us.

I wish I had thought of doing motre public appearances at the first show we did last year. I am glad you guys suggested it as it is an absolutelexcellent idea and just simply by calling and doping a little research, we have been able to start getting them all lined up for the same day and can easily swing around to do these and get the word out about 3-4 weeks prior to the event date.

I look forward to hearing more ideas on this. I can not thank you guys enough for your help and support.

Oh, I almost forgot. I also redid the entire Press Release to include more information about the benefit as it is such a unique club that the show benefits and that might be a good draw for people. If anyone is interested in viewing it and giving me their feedback, I would be happy to post it here. Please just let me know.

Hi guys. It has been a wonderful week and we already have 3 public appearances lined up in our event location area (wihtin 5 miles) for April 1st. All of them are excited and we are working hard to make them as productive as we can.

I am looking for any and ALL ideas on what we can to while at these public apperances to maximize getting the word out about the show. If anyone has ANY ideas at all, I would love to hear them as they would be a huge help to me.

I also took the advice from many of you and changed the press release around to start talking more about the benefit nature of the performance. I am going to post this in a new thread for those of you who would like to read it over and give some feedback on it.

Thanks again and I look forward to your ideas.
