Hello all. Well, before I begin, first thought I'd mention that I make no secret of my real name (Joey Katz), I just have been using "Psy-Kosh" for so long online that at this point it pratically is one of my names.
Used to be semi interested in magic many years ago, that sort of slid off, decided again to play around with it just for fun. But never was more than a beginner anyways, so going by the recomendations I've read here, I plan on starting with "Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic", "Amateure Magician's Handbook", and "Magic for Dummies" (Thanks for the great list of suggestions that're on the board by the way.) So far, only got the first of those three (picked it up today). So hi everybody. |

Welcome to the Magic Café Joey Katz, or Magician Psy-Kosh.
The Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic is great and with it you will not need "Amateure Magician's Handbook", and "Magic for Dummies" but that’s Maro’s I.M.O. I gave away my Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic to a student I had in magic and now I call him a friend. So now when I want to go into a magic book to add an effect to the show, I look into the Tarbell Course in Magic, another great course in magic books. I wish you the best, Magically, Maro

Okiedokie. Actually, when I was looking for the book, I hadn't quite realized that it was this big. When I saw mentioned that it was paperback, I wasn't quite expecting textbook size. So this should probably keep me for a while at least. (Well, either way, would be a while given time needed to actually get half decent at anything, now seems like it'll actually be a while^2 )
And thanks for the well wishes. To you as well. |
