Hey, Winter Carnival was a while ago, but I've got a question about it anyway. I don't know how many of you saw it, but there was a magician there named Joseph Young. He performed an act with Rubik's cubes. I had seen him before but his act was a bit different this time. I still enjoyed it just as much as I had before. What did everyone else think about it?
Cheers, Ty

I didn't see him at the Winter Carnival, but I was impressed enough with his act from a video that I booked him for SEAM 2006. Joseph will be here in Birmingham in August performing close-up, lecturing, and of course, presenting his award-winning Rubik's Cube act.

Joseph is a good friend of mine. I would certainly endorse his act. He has won many awards including Magifest, Winter Carnival, and was named the Houdini Rising Star.
He has added a few things to his act, but of course he is constantly refining and polishing.
Magic is an art. I am merely a tour guide.

If you will look at the SEAM 2006 topic in this section you will see a link to a video of his performance.

Be remembered for performing what looks like MAGIC, not skill.

Joe is a nice guy and did a great act at WC. The angles sucked for all the performers, but he did a fine job with his act.

Joe has a great act and we have already invited him for Magicelebration 2007 in Colon, Michigan. He has a very original enteraining routine that all conventions should take a look at.

Thanks for the wonderful comments about my Rubik's Cube Act. I hope to see some of you at SEAM 2006 (Birmingham, AL). It should be a fun time performing close-up, lecturing, and performing the Rubik's Cube act at SEAM 2006. Also, look for me at Magicelebration 2007 in Colon, Michigan.
By the way, I would like to answer a question that someone asked me. I was asked how often I perform the Rubik Cube Act. The answer is that I perform a version of the Rubik's Cube act at every show. It does not matter if it is a birthday party, school, library, church or company banquet. It was my goal to developed an act that I could perform anywhere. The Rubik's Cube act is not just a magic contest stage act. It is a realing working act that I use to open every show. For those of you think that children do not know what a Rubik's Cube is....then you should witness one of my school's shows and see their reaction. A Rubik's Cube is a timeless toy. Thanks again for the comments! Do not forget to put Aug. 4 - 6, 2006 on your schedule for SEAM 2006. Joseph

Could we get a general description of the Rubik's Cube act? Sounds interesting.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |
