Hi Guys
Can anyone tell me the main difference if any between the paperback and hardback versions of J.B Bobo's Modern Coin Magic Book as I have heard that the hard back has a lot more information. Thanks So Much For Your Time |

Thanks Jaz
I take it that this means many more slieghts, diagrams and routines. If this is true would you say that the huge price difference is worth the money? Thanks again |

I would say that you should just go with the paperback. The information is endless and it has very valuable sleights and tricks.
Ask me about Dan Harlan's Jam Sessions!

I don't have the hardcover but know that there are about 90 new items in the new chapters.
To many magi, the old version is priceless so......I would say that it's worth it as you will be getting a lifetime worth of coin magic to work with. |

I have both the paperback and hard bound version. Some of the chapters in the hard bound contain more routines and some more sleights along with the extra chapters. I reccomend the hardbound unless money is an issue.

You'll probably be able to find the Hardbound version for about $40.00. That's how much I got mine for on e-bay. Either way, it's an invaluable book. A must for coin magicians.

Thanks again guys for all your advise. Having listened to you and also speaking with others in the know I am going to start with the paperback. However to compliment it I am going to also get the Richard K coin magic book.
If you have any views on this please feel free to advise. Thanks Again |

Kaufman's "Coin Magic" is an excellent choice.

Spellbinder just published an Inventor's Index to the J.B. Bobo Coin book, with links to brief biographies of the inventors. It's a work in progress (the linking part - the index is complete) but you may find it useful to determine what you are missing from the paperback. It's on his site: http://www.magicnook.com and follow the link tp Project Inventors.

I agree with the Kaufman book. I have a first edition and I love the stuff in there. The section Slydini contributed is my favorite. And of course, Roth.

Thanks again, I've placed my order for the two books and I'm really looking forward to receiving them.
