Just the cuffs alone are cool!
Combined with the tank and cage, this escape is AWSOME!!! It looks totally unreal. I have one question. The cage is lowered in to the tank. What could you use to do this? If you were to tour with it you wouldn't want something huge. I've pondered on this type of thing before with regards to the WTC. What could a smaller outfit use for the lowering? Cheers, Ros

An over head anchor and a pully system? Electronic garage door opener could be used?

Richard looks Awesome but can it be done on a portable stage.

Hello Don
The tank weighs 600 odd pounds when full so it would depend on how strong the stage is. Thanks Don Richard |

Ros,
The low tech way to do what you need...Have the top of the cage fitted with some very large u-bolts or some very big rings anything that you can pass a stout pole thru. Then, once your in and the lid is shut, two guys feed two long poles thru the rings and over the top then use them to lift the cage. The tank is short so it wouldn't take much for them to lift the cage, and you, high enough to clear it and lower you in. The poles would be removed before the tank was closed and locked. Ms.M

Hey All,
Man Richard, That Tank and cage ROCKS!!!!! I'm REALLY looking forward to receiving the things that you'll be building for me. Great Stuff!!!!!!! Roslyn... If you had 2 burly Stage hands you could clip a Horizontal Pole to the 2 corners of the cage and get them to lift you inside. Much like lifting the box into the "Backstage" Illusion. PM me if you've never seen it. It would be a fairly easy solution. Once Again....Looks GREAT Richard! Mike Berends

Thanks Mike, that's just what I had in mind but the name of the illusion I was thinking of escaped me. (sorry, no pun intended). I think that will work very well for this escape.

Richard Sherry....
Could the cage you build be used to be lifted in the air by a crane ( 100 or so feet) and lowered into a river??? Cheers
