That was great. Did that ever play here in the states?

It's not uncommon to see stars who would never deign to make a commercial in the States making giant sums of cash making commercials for overseas markets. Paul Newman, Woody Allen, Richard Gere, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and on and on. Mostly in Japan. I guess they think it's only selling out if they do it for an American audience.

He said it was to make certain the promoter was actually reading the entire contract and trying to fulfill the clauses. If he manages the bowl of M&Ms with no greens, he'll probably manage the microphones, lights and power cords he's suppose to supply!)

Well even though I'm dating myself with this comment, but the M&M's you spoke of were actually brown and the incident was a historical event in the band Van Halen's chronology. One promoter didn't heed the "NO BROWN M&MS IN THE BOWL" clause and so the band trashed the dressing room, as rock bands are wont to do! But. like mandreke01 said it's there so they're sure everything else in the contract is adhered to. They deal with so many different people for each show, so it's there as insurence and is smart move to make!;) ...but I'd love to know about those chops!?!
