Just wanted to mention I use your color changing deck bit from time to time.
And I have found that the trick is indeed stronger going from a blue deck, then to red. I think it's because the red just seems so much brighter. This trick is very strong, and always gets a great reaction.

Has anyone ever tried this with a Rainbow Deck???
I have one but must admit I haven’t ever tried it... maybe I will dig it out and try it on Friday night... I’ll get back to the Cafe with the report...

I disagree with the usage of the Rainbow Deck on this one - Doc got it right the first time! The beauty of this routine is that you can get into other card routines with the now ’normal’ deck of playing cards immediately following thereafter. The Rainbow Deck makes a nice closer - to - a closer... Does that make sense to you? In other words following a strong closer you’ll sometimes get asked to perform one more trick. That said, I do a deck switch and close with the Rainbow Deck. The deck serves as a great excuse to go to another table because you can’t do anymore ’tricks’ with the deck in it's transformed state. - Jared |

Jared... you are right... now I remember why I don’t use the rainbow deck... it DOES leave you with a bizarre deck and brings the set to a close... and that is not the way I use the cc deck.
Good point...
