So, what does Henning have to do with close-up magic, anyway?

Thank you Binary, you just made my day! The rest of you? Join the Magic Circle and the British IBM in the corner over there, and don't come out until you are very very sorry.

If you are in the UK, and you do magic, you definitely should join the Magic Circle and the British IBM. The Magic Circle is one of the greatest resources in magic in the world. I don't get over often, because it is a long walk from Texas, but I have spent a lot of quality time there.
And I've met some really great people, there, too -- Bobby Bernard, Pat Page, Paul Daniels, the late Alex Elmsley, Michael Vincent, and, of course, the inimitable Fay Presto. Actually, the list is too long to include here. The Magic Circle is the magical equivalent of the British Museum, which, coincidentally, is walking distance from the Magic Circle headquarters.

Funny as primarily a street worker, I would love to hook with Gazzo for a bit,
I think I could learn a ton there.

Call it a busman's holiday but spending time watching master craftsmen in your discipline is never time wasted.
