I would like to break into ball (ungimmicked) manipulations. what books/dvds would you recommend besides Jeff McBride? just balls, no cups, cones, or silks.
I just saw some German guy on http://www.magicvideodepot.com doing beautiful ball manipulations without a gimmick. |

I think that "some German guy" might have been our own Roland Henning. He put it up almost as a joke, and was surprised at the positive reactions he got from people. It seems that few people do ball manipulation like that anymore.
No trees were killed in the making of this message, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Yes Roland is part of the Café, I'm sure he wont be offended. Hes an entertaining performer and I enjoy watching his videos. taliesin has given some insightful information on where to start, I hope all goes well in your conquest

Taliesin has said it all. The best for no gimmick being Buckley's book. The best for loads and steals being Buckinghams work.
Good luck, Paul p.s. ball manipulation is classically not used close up... the angles are awkward at first. |
