Anyone have a tip to get Owens rings really shiny? Polish, spray?
All help is appreciated.

Hi David Lawrence,

I would suggest Simichrome metal polish.

Less shine is better. Too shiney and the reflections can be distracting.

If you have the stainless steel set, then you can take black rough and a buffing wheel on a drill and buff the rings. They sell stands for drills at most hardware supply stores and I got my set of roughes at Sears. There is white rough for aluminum, red for gold and silver, and black for stainless steal. It will take a while to put the shine on as I believe they supply them with a satin finish.

The Owen rings are a satin finish for a reason. It shows best on stage. Shiny makes 'em look thinner and they pick up distracting reflections from the lights.
Leave 'em alone (except for mild cleaning if needed). I have not cleaned mine in 20+ years and they still look like new.
