Hi guys.
I own the Raven and the Chuck Leach Raven video. I'm proficient with the long sleeved and button up versions of the vanish, but I can't seem to figure out the short sleeved, non-buttoned up version. Could someone please enlighten me, without exposure?

Short sleeve *non button-up*?? Don't know that there really is such a thing. Only version that Chuck features on the vid is short sleeve with a button front.
Now... it is possible that I'm just having a minor brain cramp... but I don't recall a short sleeve non button-up version at all. Hang on... do you have the standard or reel version? |

A friend once told me about having the thing rigged around his belt-loops so he could perform in a t-shirt(why he would WANT to perform in a t-shirt is beyond me).

Haven't heard of that hook up. There is no place for the raven to go. Maybe some sleight of hand?

I read somewhere on another forum that someone was using the "fly-hole" in a pair of jeans as a means of concealment of the Raven...I think I could do without the recoil down there though.
Another individual mentioned doing it in long shirts, where the Raven would actually come back under the shirt, to the belt loops. I would have to think the shirt would really jump a bit. John Eddington |

The only way I have heard is the belt-loop method. You set it up so that it's anchored behind you. You have to be careful that no one is looking at your side though. As for the fly-hole: that's just wrong
On the other hand, you have different fingers.

I guess with the reel version you could clip it to your belt in the small of your back and therefore not require long sleeves or a button-up shirt.
I've never liked the reel that you get with that version of the gimmick though. If that's what you're using, get a proper reel and be careful of your sight lines. Cheers! |

Thanks guys.. The only reason I asked is because I thought I recalled actually seeing it done in a non buttoned, short sleeved shirt.. hmm.

Yes, it's in the Raven video, and that's demostrated by the young guy wearing short-sleeve T-shirt and jean, not Chuck himself.

Okay... is there a new version of the Raven video that I haven't seen? I've just gone back over my Raven vid and it's all Chuck. Nobody in a short sleeve T-shirt and Chuck never shows tips/tricks using a non-button shirt (unless he's wearing his jacket).
You must have a version of the Raven video that we don't have in Australia. |

I also haven't seen this video in US.
Can anyone tell me which model is better, the standard or Reel version ? |

From what I've read from other people, it seems that the reel isn't as good as the original. I forget the exact reasonings (probably people in here can tell ya). Was it the sound it makes, maybe?

Well, I've got something came to mind .... maybe I've mixed both videos, as I own both Classic Raven and The Bat, but I'm sure that young guy inside the video is performing Raven while wearing short-sleeve t-shirt.
Sorry that I cannot clarify this at the moment, as my VHS Deck is malfunctioning. Maybe by next week. Sorry guys, that's my mistake. The said demonstration is in the Bat Video. I've just brought my tapes to my sister's home and found it out. |
