Hi Guys,
What's the key to placing an AC in an "impossible place"?

Hi Spade,
I need to know a little more about what you're asking.
Does AC stand for the Ace of Clubs? Getting any card to an impossible place is the key element in many great card effects. (Card to Wallet, Card in Lemon, etc.) It can be done many ways. If the card is not signed or marked you can just have a duplicate in your impossible place and force the matching card in the deck. It's good to clean up by getting the dupe card out of the deck, but not absolutely necessary.
If the card is signed, then most effects of this kind require palming the card out of the deck.
Or, sometimes the card is "marked" by tearing off a corner and giving it to a spectator to hold. When the card is found in the impossible place, the corner is missing and the corner the spectator is holding fits. This can be done by switching the corner, or by a clever dealers device called "The Intercessor." It was created by Gaeton Bloom and is manufactured and sold by Kevin James. Most magic stores carry it, and it is the subject of several threads here in the Café.
But, tell us a little more about what you are trying to do and we can help more.

Hey Dennis,
Sorry I was not as clear. Basically, I want to know how to plant a card in a hard to get place without the spectator noticing (ie. ambitious card). I know you have to use some misdirection, but how would I go about doing this?
Thanks.

Take a look at Bannon's "Underhanded" (Smoke and Mirrors). Simply, one-hand top palm while you're asking the spectator to hold up his hand, then Charlier cut while you place the card.

This is by far one of my favorite ways to do card under glass. I use to try and do card under glass and would get busted all the time until I started doing it Bannon's way. Now I can pull this off at least twice in a row!!
