It was... but not any longer... it held the world record for 17 years though according to your web link.

... and: Hull 'worst place to live in UK' according to a UK TV show.

Wetwang is conveniently located at the longish intersection of the A166 and the B1248, about halfway between Tibthorpe and Towthorpe. It's actually only a couple of miles from Fimber, and also pretty close to Garton on the Wolds. But almost everything in that area is on the Wolds in one way or another.

Above: The town fights back.

The BBC is BS anyway...Hull is ok in my book.

Well anyway...we'll clean out the crime and the ignorant teens...I'll appoint a super hero on my street...a real one.

What a fantastic thread to read first thing in the morning! Smile

Top Hat - pm me if you like. Whilst I'm not familiar with WetWang, I'm happy to help with the settling in if I can.

gsidhe - The Mackinaw Bridge? On Mackinaw Island where 'Somehwere In Time' was filmed? Smile

Doug - I'm liking the sound of this street purchase more and more! Any houses left on Pygmy Lane? And can I run the Post Office?? Or maybe the Coffee Shop? Smile

Best,

Hull is on the east coast at one end of the M62, just before you drop off into the North Sea. At the other end on the west coast is Liverpool, just before you drop off into the Irish Sea .

Yep...That's the one. I actually worked on Mackinaw as a Teenager. Beautiful place and no cars or motorized vehicles. The bridge doesn't go to the island though, to get there, it is a pedestrian ferry.
