Well if you know how to use photoshop pretty well and you love levitations then you will have a good laugh and some amazed people when you do this one!
Wanna fool your freinds with a little picture of you SEEMINLY levitating....if you get the right place this will look really good....well here are the steps 1.get a digital camera 2.youll need something like a tripod to keep your camera in the smae spot for two different pictures 3.take a pic of a spot with no shadow of you (this will make the editing process easier) with you in it acting all Criss Angely and stuff 4.take a picture without you 5.take both of those pictures in 2 different layers in photoshop ( this is simple if you know how to work photoshop 6.use the magnetic lasso tool and outline just you in the pic of with you in it 7.when done outlining, inverse selection 8.erase all of the background for just that picture 9.move your body up using the move tool 10.merge both layers down and you have urself APARENTLY levitating! I realize some of you wont like this because you want to do levitations live and stuff...but I like doing these picture thingys because you rid the fear of messing up....say an angle problem and the people see how to do it and they might laugh...and I realize hardly any of you guys know how to work photoshop but this is a fun thing to do if you do know how....it kills time too...so if your bored you can try this...well whatever...tell me what you think ...just view the image of the attached file...and that's the one I did Click here to view attached image. |

LevitationFreek,
Great idea. Photoshop can do wonders for magicians and this is a great example! You can then take the digital to Walmart and have them print it off so it looks like it really came from your camera! Great picture! -Kevin |

What happens when someone wants you to demonstrate your levitation skills? Just a joke.

Great suggestion! Looked incredible. All is fair in love and war....and magic.
Sad thing is more people are becoming familiar with photoshop, and are aware that this sort of thing is easily accomplished. So enjoy it while you can! |

Sad thing is more people are becoming familiar with photoshop I agree- I've taken the liberty of (poorly!) reconstructing how it was actually performed: Click here to view attached image. |

If you want really clean lines you should go to view and select actual pixels when using the lasso tool, then go back to view and select fit on screen when the lasso is complete. Also there is a program called Knock out that will do this for you and do a much better job than any hand could do, It will even do hair.
