I don't have any experience in busking, but I ran across a couple of very similar terms today that I'm having a little trouble distinguishing. Hopefully some of the members here can help me understand the difference between them. What is the difference between a "Busking Pitch" and a "Busking Station"?

A pitch is the patter, or words, spoken during your presentation. The station would be the location of the presentation.

Yup, the pitch is where you perform unless you are pitching then you work from a joint. I've never heard the expression 'busking station', likely means location to someone not with it.

Busking pitch is a kind of tar that is used to keep buskers at their station.

Just kidding.

A pitch is a British term for what Americans call a "field," such as a football pitch. Buskers use it to refer to where they do their show from. I have a feeling that whoever was using the term "busking station" meant the same thing.

I just found out what these people meant, but I don't know if they are official terms (probably not since no one else has heard of a busking station). Apparently, a busking pitch is the traditional pitch area where a busker can perform a larger circle show.

A busking station is a smaller area where the busker can perform a smaller act in front of a smaller crowd. I guess maybe if you have a smaller act and don't use a sound system, the station may be more appropriate.

Does any of this make sense?

Sounds like you found a controlled area and they just gave a name to a small pitch. Tell 'em that you are a roustabout and to stop with the phony names.
