What room do you guys use? Kitchen, bathroom? Any problem with oder? What type of litter? Do you have a second animal to stay with them in cage? Another rabbit or guinea pig?
Thanks. Jim

Our rabbit loves to jump and twist his body in such a way it's funny to watch! he runs up and down the hall way. he started making this playful grunt lunge forward at you tosses his toy and then backs up and runs away waiting for you to toss it! his favorite toy is a cat toy HARD plastic with a bell in it! he loves to toss that around! sometimes I wonder if he is a dog he acts like one lol! they are so wonderful.

I want to make sure I get a rabbit that is small and is going to stay that way. What breeds fit that bill? Also, is one sex gentler/calmer than another? Thanks.
Jim

We have had a female and now a male they both are loving. basically the more love you put into a rabbit they will give you back! any rabbit in the mini class I believe is where you want to look! like the mini dwarf mini rex etc. our rabbit is a mini rex.

Mine stays small enough to fit in any illusion built for small rabbits. It is a combination of hoto and lion head dwarf. I don't like animals inside the house so I gave her own 2 level condo. I put two heaters in it for the winter and on very hot days, I bring her into a playpen in the garage where it is cool.

I think you have it backwards, the question should be how offen do you put your rabbit into his cage? My rabbit has the run of the house. There are a few rooms I keep him out of by keeping the door closed but for the most part I keep him out and put him in his cage at night. He is trained to go do his business in only one spot, its helps when they're trained.

One of the cool things about working on cruise ships is that I usually live on the hallway with the other entertainers, and ALL the dancers want to spend time with my bunnies! So they're never at a loss for loving attention. I even trust maternal instincts to the point that I sometimes let the gals take them overnight. This grooms my bunnies to be the friendliest possible.

My Rabbit lives in our sunroom so he is only in the cage when trasporting him from show to show. He drinks from a dog dish and eats from a dog dish. He is litter box trained which gets changed every 2-3 days. He has a table and some chairs that he hops up on and just hangs out watching the cars and things go by.

Our rabbit is out for hours! we don't let him have full run of the house cause of his knawing and chewing of things!

I let my 2 rabbits out 2-3 times a day by fencing in an area on the floor with the portable pet fences that can be bought at most pet stores. They are also trained to only make in the cages which makes cleanup a lot easier.

I too use to let my rabbit run around the house for hours. He chew on the wires behind the TV. He also got my microphone cord.

Greg The rabbit is trying to grind down their teeth by chewing on anything they can find around the house. Greg, give the rabbit lots of hay and a chewing block of wood (maple is hard wood). If you do that, you will find that the chewing on your electric wires ect will stop. Tricky Ricky |

Bunnys arnt meant to be kept in cages. They can be litter trained and taught not to chew things to crap. Ive had animals all my life and never met anyone who kept a bunny in a cage. Mine stays in her own bedroom and is let out to roam the house freely when I am home. It takes diligence and patients to train rabbits. If your locking it in a cage all the time, you probably shouldnt have one. Not because I'm an activist or anything but you don't lock dogs or cats in cages and IMO they can be more work than a rabbit.
