I've been doing tricks for a short period of time.recently I have become interested in escapes. I have a few questions.
during say straight jacket escapes and publicity stunts are there other routines leading up to the large escapes or is it just a sj escape. what are some books that I could read to get me on the right path to a few good escape acts. thanks |

I personnally do an sj (sometimes a double sj) escape in my show. So I would do other stuff aswell.
If doing a large scale escape stunt then it is the stunt that I would do and nothing else. However, if you're booked to do your standard show AND a large stunt then you would do both. As for books, I suggest you do a search here at the Café. I and many others here have written various reviews on different books and manuscripts on escape artistry. Off the top of my head I suggest you use Norm Bigelow, Steve Santini, Xtreme, Ian McColl, Dick Norman and John Novack in your searches to get you started. There are many others, but you'll stumble across them as you go on. Good luck, Ros
