Now this was simplicity at it's finest. I was at a party recently and this magician is there and does a wonderful little trick. Shows a small crystal box that's shut with a rubber band around it, puts a small red ball on top of it, covers it with a silk, and miraculously when the silk is removed, the red ball is inside the rubber-banded see-through crystal box. AMAZING!
Has anyone ever seen this trick, it was sorta simple but WOW!!!

I have "Burglar Ball", but since you've seen it performed I'm not sure what more I can say about it. The box is about 1" sq and the ball fits in. As I remember, the effect can let the spectator faily see the ball on top of the closed and sealed box. While covered with a silk(and magician's hands in full view), "plop", the ball's silhouette disappears from under the silk as the ball enters the box. The sealed box/ball can then be handed out for inspection.
Tenyo sells this for ~$10, but you can get the same effect much cheaper under different names like disintegration chamber?, but I can't find the ads now. The basic moves are not difficult, but the instructions came with a certain finesse which I couldn't do smoothly. The items are examinable before & after. John

I found the Disintegration Chamber on several sites. Best price $2.50
http://www.penguinmagic.com/specialorderproduct.php?ID=3102 http://www.magictricks.com/closeup/dischamb.htm http://themagicwarehouse.com/tchild1.html These sites have the ball disappear from w/i the box, but it will also do the advertise effect of Burglar Ball. John
