Here in Las Vegas, I find that most larger companies have their annual Christmas party on either of the first two Saturdays of December. If I am real lucky, I can book two per day on those two days.
I have developed a friendship with a few banquet managers at a few of the hotels here in town. Most corporate Christmas parties book their rooms by April or May. I find out from my friends who has booked what rooms. They will usually give me the direct contact info for who I need to talk to at each company. I start in May - June making the calls to everyone that has booked a room. It usually pays off. Sometimes, they will tell me that "we already have our entertainment booked this year...but can you do our company picnic next week (or month or whatever...)." |

My problem is that the small fry bookings book first and the big ones wait a while!
