Can anyone tell me how to do Dis Jointed? Also, could someone go over the extras in the DVD? The other Dis Jointed forum just didn't have what I was looking for. PM me if you want.

Yes of course, here, I'll tell you the secret to Disjointed, here's how to do it...
... .. .. . . Buy yonder DVD and learn yonder effect.
A Trick? Well yes there are quite a few "tricks" I can do, but alas there are women and children present. Find me later.

In a way it was, but here, I'll be more clear.
We don't expose effects on this forum, so the only way you're going to get that effect is to actually go and buy it yourself. Believe me, I'd LOVE to know how the Icarus Flight Levitation works, but I'll have to shell out 300 bucks to know that, so I think 20 something for a Dis Jointed DVD is a small price to pay, plus the effect itself is a pretty keen play on an old classic. Really packs a wallop. Just do the "cool" thing and buy your effects. I'll be nice and say "Sorry, but exposure is a bad thing and I can't help you in that way" :) Take care.

WOW, you're lucky Will got in before some of the other guys here.
Have a read through 'A Few Rules To Remember' in the 'Cafe Rules And Etiquette' section - it'll explain why you're never going to get an answer to that sort of question. Best regards, Mike.

I guess people just got tired to confront these "kids".
Why does everyone think this is an exposure forum? -Matt

Have you noticed that most 'how' questions come from people with less than half a dozen posts? I suppose the good news is that they either get the message and disappear (as if by magic) or decide to stick around and get into magic the right way. I can't see things changing anytime soon. Regards to all, Mike

Give the guy a break. If he's a kid he probably can't afford to purchase DVDs and all the other overpriced magic supplies that are out there. Should that prevent him from learning magic? Get over yourselves.

If somebody knows a 'secret' and just gives it away for the sake of asking, IMHO that's a slippery slope. I don't think this should be turned into yet another 'exposure debate', there's plenty of those already, I think people are just pointing out some stuff to a newcomer. ....and breathe. Happy thought to all, Mike

Seriously...i agree that everyone needs to chill out, Will made it clear to the newcomer that secrets don't come easy...enough said, our goal is to welcome fellow magicians by recommending beginners effects, perhaps Shinkoh Nagisas Twisting Arm Illusion which can be purchased at Meir Yedid Magic for around $5.00 last time I checked....if that's still expensive then maybe therealmikelvee should hit the public library...

Thank god for Café rules, lol. therealmikelvee the reason this rule is in place is to protect the secrets of our art, everyone here is all about helping one another while still keeping our secrets intact.
Now I offered to teach you the effect free of charge in the PM I sent you because we happen to live in the Buffalo area and can easily get together, but you can not expect the other members to break the rules. JR
