Can anyone make a suggestion as to what learning material would be best?

I wouldn't recommand the penguin dvd as it got bad comments from the main CJ sites...
Instead, I would suggest the following: A free 122 pages book by Kae Verens, which you can get HERE ...Just scroll down the page and you got it: cj.doc. Those dvd's by Greg maldonado are a great way to enter the CJ world... This is a fantastic dvd with some of the best CJ'ers around the world: In Isolation Hope this help... |

I think this is the place that I bought a ball from years ago, they threw in a home made instruction dvd that was pretty good.
http://www.bobhughescompany.com/ if that's not the right place, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find a place that does. shops want you to learn, then you buy more stuff. |

Bobhughescompany.com is a good site to shop for spheres. The instruction dvd is made by Rich Shumaker (hope I spelled his last name right..good guy.) and is part of his legacy project. Contactjuggling.org is probably one of the best places to gain knowledge on the art as it is the hub for performers and hobbyists. Check out Ferret's essays. Otherwise, juggling clubs and conventions can be good to find other contact jugglers as are renaissance faires. There are many renaissance festivals that have Sphereplay booths and the people there are very friendly and happy to see other jugglers of any skill level.
Existence exists...let's build something beautiful off of that.
