Does anybody use this regularly? Is it true the rings are examinable? Worth getting my hands on? Please advise. Thanks.

Examinable in a manner of speaking... but still worth checking out. The DVD contains some good material.

False advertising. 'the' rings are not examinable any more than
any other linking rings. the idea that 'keyrings' are normal everyday object is all well and good but nobody carrys around 3 of them sans keys every day, so I don't think it really applies unless you were performing and found them at a party in a candy dish full of key rings. then it would be impromptu everyday. if you want a DVD that has practically no routine at all, and to try to make up for it the DVD is padded with a bunch of card tricks (like we all don't know enough already) then definitely get 3RC. If you want a linking routine that is quite nifty, and uses tiny props like that check out pinDemonium by Dan Garrett. Much more visual. A much better routine. my opinion is that your money is much better spent elsewhere. Also, check out the ninja rings DVD for a beautiful routine with years of thought put into it.

No offense, Frank, but I LOVE my 3 Ring Circus!
Funny, I stumbled across this thread...I did a remote radio broadcast today at a car dealership (I'm a DJ on the air at a Country Station), and it was pretty blase', then I pulled out the rings...I got a better reaction than I expected. The sales guys came out to see...then the General Manager of the dealership. He was BLOWN away! That little demonstration just earned me "preferred status"...meaning they will ask for ME when they do another remote. All because I was bored, and decided to "play"...I could NEVER have predicted that...so...you never know! Doug |

The crash link of rings is one of the greatest illusions of all time.
Several other moves with rings are also up there. And as Doug says, they look great even with the keyrings provided. I just thought for the money it was weak. Especially when compared to something like the ninja routine, or something like PinDemonium. I will also admit that pulling ninjas out and doing them in some environments would seem as out of place as those card tricks were on the 3RC dvd The Illusion is great and it can be done with those rings. I agree. For the money I'd get something else. But then again, there's always used copies floating around.

I have to agree with Frank, I don't think it is a bad effect. It has the potential to be strong, but it seemed to me like there were a lot of card tricks added to the DVD to offset a weak presentation of the trick. Normally I enjoy extras but since I don't do card tricks I felt the DVD was lacking
As for examinable, it is a play on words. I now realize that examinable is open to a broad interpretation of the word (a thirty dollar life lessons). Right off the bat when I opened it up I thought “this is not examinable”. I don’t know what I was expecting but… Over all I like Three Ring Circus, just maybe not for the price. I personally get more mileage from Sankey's Holy Moly, although it is a completely different effect.
Thanks,

Thanks for the input, guys. I did go ahead and order 3RC anyway, so I'll post when I receive it. Thanks, again.

I have a copy (including the rings) for sale right now. PM me if interested. I actually like the rings and think so of the other routines are pretty darn good (Dowsing is an excellent effect). But, alas, I've got another mini "linking" effect that I do so I don't need it anymore.
