?? Whatever you usually do.
The difficulty is finding the right material AFTER serious imbibing has taken place. |

I learned many years ago that the simpler the effect the better. I was hired to work Trump Plaza on New Years Eve for 12 years in a row. It was a great gig and my first experience table hopping! Talk about scary. I worked three restaurants, the atrium, and the grand ballroom on a rotation schedule from 6-midnight for twelve years in a row. The very FIRST effect I tried was Ivory Connection with the jumping spots on dice. The customer was already a bit drunk and said "whoa this is hard to follow. I've been drinking for hours already." I realized right then that simple, easy to follow tricks are best especially if you perform them a tad slower than you usually do. Think of straightforward, easy to follow plots with strong magical moments that you already do and you'll be good.

I agree with keeping it quick and simple. Everybody is in a festive mood on NYE, the drinks flow and they want to party. So they don't want to concentrate on long drawn out routines. I've been doing NYE at the same restaurant for 7 years now, and I never stay longer than 5-7 minutes at one table/group. Hit them with your best stuff and move on

Do your best stuff before they get drunk - then everything should be able to handle - being inspected, challenged and fondled. mmm Sounds like my last date.
