Agreed not the place to discuss this but you should be aware that Behe has been refuted as he has no evidence to back up any of his claims.
As I said before, if anyone can present a theory that disproves evolution then they should publish and recieve the rewards they so rightly deserve and take their place amongst the great thinkers of history. So far this has yet to happen. And this is the last I will say on the topic. |

Heard of Ray Comfort? I have NOW! Thanks to the person who posted the link to his website. What a great source of information. There is a video clip of someone performing an appearance of a coin. I believe the link to it was "learn how to do a coin trick". Anyone know who was performing this? He "exposes" the method and that bothered me a little.
To Thetruthteller; Greetings. Your first post mentioned that someone forwarded to you a link to Ray Comfort's 'evolution of the Coke can'. I haven't seen that video so I can't comment on it specifically. But I have heard different people pitch to me their spiel on the theory of evolution, and I didn't find it convincing in the least. Actually it really gives me a good laugh. What great faith evolutionists have! To "prove" their theory of evolution, they need to produce better 'scientific evidence'. Someone needs to produce the thousands of transitional forms for each specie that are so conveniently missing. The 'missing links' that would once and for all prove this theory, are no where to be found. Now that's a great magic trick, making the evidence completely vanish leaving no trace at all. I like to base my belief systems on the facts, and unfortunately that 'theory' presents too many gaps. Magically speaking, how about a few ideas for effects and patter to go along with the items on Ray Comfort's site, like the 10 Commandments coin, the pressed penny, $1B dollar bill, jumbo dollar, etc... See? I'm keeping it magic related. Seeing truth and sharing The Truth with all, Joe |

It is really because of Ray Comfort's ministry that I got into magic. It all started with a few pink and blue gospel tracts.
Anyway one thing I use to bring up the ten commandments is the Professors Nightmare. I use the banter of as men we perceive lying to be a little bad thing, maybe stealing is worse, then murder is even worse (Showing short, medium and long ropes respectively). Then I use something like "Well to God all these are sins found in the 10 commandments and to God they are all equal, sin is sin (This where the ropes become the same length). I finish off with reminding them that man still does not see God's standard and to man all these transgressions are different (And show all three ropes of different lengths again). With any of the money tracts you can use the story of the Rich Young Ruler, and how he loved his money over the love of Jesus. Or even that some people worship the God of money (Breaking the First and Second commandments). Oh and as an FYI you can listen to the two hour radio show at http://www.wayofthemasterradio.com every weekday, and it also lists the Sirrius Satelite and some local stations you can find them on.

A way to use the B bill is to make it into a torn and restored trick.

I have distributed a several hundred coins (might be thousands now, it been a few small boxes) and never once did I not think that a folder, a shell and a flipper that match them, might come in pretty handy. You can palm 7-8 very easy with the sharp milled edges and I sometimes walk through the door at the local coffee shop and see if I can deliver the whole palmed stack without being seen. Then a couple minutes later you can hear that distinct aluminum ring as they get handled. They disappear very fast, so they get 5 stars from me. Wallets sometimes linger too long and get thrown away a small amount of the time.
I am converting to all Ray's coins and Chick tracts: Men of Peace and This was your life. My wife calls leaving tracts 'carpet bombing'. I just leave them I never do a 'one on one' or force anything on anybody. If people are lead to the spot where they are and pick them up of their own accord, I believe they are called by the Holy Spirit to receive the messages. Other than that I do a few coin tricks, if there is interest I give them away, but never push them off on people. Ray has a good message, and items, I just am narrowing the focus of what I order in favor of the Chick messages now. I think I will always get the coins as long as they are in production. Got tired of carding the pressed pennies, and they don't get carried off like the coins do.

I used to collect them as I used to find them all the time "accidentally" left in phone booths and at bus stops. However since I moved to the blue side of my state I have yet to run across a single one. Fortunately I can keep up with them one his web site. I especially like the new ones aimed at the evils of Masonry.

I never considered Masonry,Illuminatae, or Rosicruciana as an evil since only the very highest members, know they are luciferian doctrines. Rosicrucae is bible based teaching and differs from the AMORC. Regular members see nothing out of the ordinary going on. Then again I don't believe in infringing on peoples rights to free choice either. The prime difference is they teach works without faith is the path to heaven, rather than faith without works is dead. One needs a Savior and the other requires one. One goes through elaborate ritual hoping to achieve miracles and one just asks and receives.
Now that I think about it Ray might have something along those lines too, for the lodge members. It may take some digging to find it. I believe I am the only one leaving the 'lurid little comics' and Ray's coins on the eastside. If you get to Bellevue, Redmond, Sammamish, Issaquah areas you might find some. They go fast, so if you do find any you can assume you are right on my heels. ;-)

So I hear you all saying you really like what he has to say, but are you actually going out and trying to witness to people? I do every Friday night and use my magic tricks very much like Ethan does.
For those of you who are afraid to witness read the following story: I had been witnessing at the same Mall for a long time and had been asked to leave once or twice by the security. I was listen to a conversation a friend of mine was having with somebody and noticed that a security guard was watching so I became very afraid that he might kick us out. He let my friend finish his conversation and let us walk away but a few moments later he came right up next to us and started asking us about what we were saying then told us that he carries Ray's tracts around in his back pocket and had almost got fired twice. If this guy can risk his job I think you can at least risk your pride. so grab a partner and witness, you will never know who might be doing it by your side. |
