Hi gang,
I've been interested in purchasing a "cap in bottle" effect but am hoping the forum can provide some honest and insightful reviews of the different versions available. I've seen some on youtube.com that are very impressive. I've seen the demo for B.U.I (Bottled Up Inside) and purified water at hocus-pocus.com The demo I'm most impressed with is a version of cap in bottle by Sean McQuaid on youtube.com. Any info/opinions you guys have to share is greatly appreciated.

To make things simplified/narrowed down, I already have Visual Impossible Penetration by Mike Powers......which is awesome! I'm just now interested in these water bottle cap things. Thanks!

I appreciate the advice. I am particularly looking at plastic bottles and caps. Anyone?

The Joe Porper "Cap in Any Bottle" is outstanding... and so simple to do. I use it regularly with a water bottle.

Can the Porper cap screw on to most bottles?

I believe that the Porper cap can be used with any screw top plastic water bottle. I've used it on quite a few, and have yet to find one that won't work.
I really like this effect/prop Rick |

Rick - Do you find that people buy the Porper cap as genuine? I got a peek at it at a local magic store and it seemed quite unlike any other cap I'm familiar with.

I like Porper's "Cap in ANY Bottle" just fine, but would prefer to end the effect by breaking the bottle (not cutting it open -- seems, uh... dull)
Can anyone recommend a GLASS bottle, with the proper (Porper!) diameter opening for the cap? (vs plastic, from which I can find many the right size) I thought I might use liquor bottles with similar white caps, but none, so far in my search, permit entry. Neck too narrow. Any thoughts you may have will be greatly appreciated. |
