Trying to decide between:
Eugene Burger's "Mastering the Art of Magic" or Conjuring Anthology by Jim Steinmeyer. What are your thoughts? All input welcome. Thanks. J. |

They are both great books and I would strongly suggest getting both, but it depends on what's more important to you now, getting most great stage or palour effects for your act, get Conjuring Anthology by Jim Steinmeyer, or understanding the theory of performing Magic and more close-up Magic effects, get Eugene Burger's "Mastering the Art of Magic"
You can't go wrong with either and I love both of these books but happen to like Conjuring Anthology at the moment for the great effects more. Hope that helps, Alex Tan

I've not seen the Burger book but I do know that The Conjuring Anthology is amazing.

Do you need more platform tricks? Get the Conjuring Anthology.
Do you need to learn how to be a better performer? Get Mastering the Art of Magic. |

But Frank,
You sell the burger book on your site! Would "Conjuring Anthology" and "the Ostrich factor book" be a better duo? |

Gordon,
Would the material in Conjuring Anthology be considered good chamber/parlour magic for a wide range of skill levels? |

Yes, I think magician's of all skill levels will find interesting things in the anthology.

You don't see me bragging about sankey's 3 rings circus and I sell that. I think the conjuring anthology is absolutely unbelievable. I think it's the best collection of presentations for magic effects I've ever read. And the Ostrich Factor is great too but be prepared to put work into it. Nothing is for free. I realized that I do have "Mastering..." and I will read it tonight to see. and ken weber's maximum entertainment is also a great value. Personally, I think years from now we'll look at the steinmeyer book as one of the greatest magic books of all time.

Thanks very much Frank.
I was only teasing by the way. You have a very well stocked site. Iwill be purchasing your Malini bag and the Dream Multiply Silicon balls from you soon. I will definitely pick up the Conjuring Anthology. All the best, J. |
